How do you know you are ready for a Personal Branding Photography Session

Super trendy, personal branding sessions have become the must do marketing step for the majority of small business owners. But how do you really know if your business is in need of a custom personal branding photography session?

You are launching a new business and building a website

This is a no-brainer: a new website will require lots of images. Not just stock photos, you actually want to show yourself, your process, your product, behind the scenes, where you work and tools of the trade. But mostly yourself. Remember, people want to to business with other people (photos make you relatable).

You have been in business for a while but you usually DYI your photos and are ready to uplevel

Sure, your iphone does a great job, you have lightroom for mobile and a handful of filters. But you just can’t get that one look at the angle you want, or you can’t work and take photos on a timer at the same time, or you want some artistic close ups. DYI photos will never compare to professional in action shots and you know it. If you want to uplevel, you need to invest.

You don't usually show your face a lot on your platforms and feel like it's time to become a "real person"

Again, people want to do business with other people. You gotta show up and get in front of your audience. It’s especially easy for us photographers to hide behind pretty pictures of other people that we take. We have so much content to post, we never stop to think - well, where am I in these photos? The caption alone is not enough for your audience to learn about you. They want to see your face, they want to know who will meet them when they show up to the session (class, online event, consultation etc)

You are looking to rebrand - bring an entire new vibe to your business and your team

And then there is a rebrand. Perhaps your old photos are just that - old. You are ready for a breath of fresh air - new style, colors, something that feels more you. Maybe you are launching a new course or product, that has to be accompanied by some new imagery, what people haven’t seen yet.

Whatever stage you are in, it's ok not to know where to start or how it will all go down. But it is important to pick the photographer whose style goes with yours, who shares similar values, and who makes themselves available to support, guide and encourage you before, during and after your session.
